Train Caregivers when you need help
Educating Families, Professionals, and Corporations in the Management of Alzheimer's Disease

Serving Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard

Family Education

Alzheimer's coaching is for families wanting to gain the skills and knowledge to manage Alzheimers disease in the home setting. This is a two hour session. Follow-up visits are arranged per individual request.

Many families also find coaching and education helpful when they are trying to determine if it is time to make a move to an Assisited Living or Skilled Nursing facility. These decisions are very difficult, adding to the stress the family caregiver is already experiencing. Working with a professional during this very difficult time can be quite beneficial in learning to map the maze of the health care system.

Each Training Includes:

  • A Needs Assessment/Evaluation
  • A Home Safety Evaluation
  • Caregiver Education
    • Disease Overview
    • Communication Techniques
    • Behavior Management
    • Medication Management
    • Personal Care Techniques
    • Recommendations for Activities
  • Identification of Community Resources
  • Recommendations for Care

An easy to use training guide is provided to each family detailing the information covered in the visit.
